How it works?

Gyro consists of 3 major sections - Servers infrastructure, Gyro's backbone, and the Gyro developement platform.

Gyro's hardware infrastrcture has been engineered to withstand heavy traffic loads and maximum redundancy. All of Gyro's server are Linux based (CentOS) for maximum perforamce. The servers are located in 4 different geographical zones, while maintaing a real-time synchronization of the data. In case one server fails, the other server "takes" its place, for minimum downtime.
In addition, a 4-level backup system constantly "guards" Gyro:
  1. RAID (mirror) backup locally on each server.
  2. Automatic full HDD backup of all the data + databases every 24 hours, 30-days loop.
  3. Automatic Database backup once every 24 hours, 7-days loop.
  4. Manual Full backup once a week.

Gyro's software backbone includes the Databases (mySQL based) and the Admin System - an advanced Content Management System (CMS) which allows the administrator of the system to fully control the content of their website.
